Often as a blonde with a fair complexion it is difficult to find bright pink and red tones with the right pinky pigmented undertones to complement my light skin and features. I tried and loved the lift of colour Rimmel The Only 1, Your All Mine (120 Pink) & Best Of The Best (510 Red) offers me. Winter nights and summer days are calling me with these fun, flattering and full bodied lux lip colours!

The black packaging is sophisticated and sleek with an impress of the crown and defined colour band that makes it easy to recognize your colour of choice…especially out at night rummaging through your bag in search of the lipstick you matched with your outfit for the evening. The formulation offers quite a strong fragrance but is not too overpowering nor does if have a distinct fragrant taste. The consistency has a lightweight, sheer, moisture rich feel without being particularly matte or glossy in its finish but rather shows a soft sheen to balance the strong pigments. The durability needs to be sustained by a lipliner and for myself requires reapplication at least 3 times during the day or night. Personally I loved the shape of the lipstick tip, I found its firm blunt edges gave me the ability to really follow the line of my lip with precision and the flat angle allowed me to fill the lip effectively at the same time.

I really love wearing this lipstick!
It has a really pleasant fragrance without being too over powering. Naughty Nude 700 is the perfect shade for during the day or paired with a Smokey eye at night. I find that the formula is highly pigmented and you get a good colour payoff after just one application. It has more of a velvety finish rather than glossy or matt and it feels really moisturising and doesn’t dry out my lips. This lipstick stays on quite well and I felt that I didn’t need to reapply as often as other lipsticks. I’ll definitely be trying other colours in this range!

I tried this lipstick in 620 call me crazy. While the formula was very moisturising, I didn’t find it to last all day as it claimed. It is very creamy so it transferred easily and came off any time I drank or ate anything. The colour also made my teeth look slightly yellow. If orange colours are your thing and you like creamy, comfortable lipsticks – this may be for you! But if you are like me and cannot be bothered reapplying multiple times throughout the day, I suggest looking elsewhere!

I tried this in 300 ‘Listen Up’ which is a fun reddy pink shade and found the smell really fruity and nice. The colour complemented my colouring (caucasian with pearly blonde hair) Great to get you in the mood for summer! The lipstick itself is highly moisturising and quite lightweight.

I liked the flat application of the actual lipstick and felt it was a great shade for making a fun impact at work. It doesn’t last all day – i found it generally lasted for a few hours. It’s great if you need a pick me up and doesn’t take much effort to get right in application!

I tried to 510 (best of the best) Rimmel lipstick. The product is true to the claims of easy application and moisturising components. The colour for my skin tone (olive) was a little overpowering however i am sure there would be complexions that it would be stunning on. The lipstick was difficult to remove.

I tried lippy no 200 called “its a keeper” and it was a soft crimson shade, a very pretty colour. I loved the shape of the lippy and I quite liked the floral smell but I imagine its not for everyone’s taste. It was also very easy to apply, but I did find my lips felt quite dry after a few hours of wearing it. I usually like very moisturising lippy’s especially in winter. I felt the colour lasted ok on me, at least for a few hours. It was nice enough, but would I buy it again? Probably not.

I tried shade 600, ‘peachy-beachy’ which was a fun, coral colour that would be perfect for summer. It went on smoothly and was lovely and creamy to wear. The pigment was strong, and didn’t need multiple layers to build up a bright colour. The lipstick actually smells fruity, which was a nice touch! I’ll be trying other colours in the range.

I really like the creamy moisturising texture of this lipstick. The colour, a vibrant orange, is highly pigmented but does require reapplication fairly regularly to keep its punch. Overall I really love this lipstick!

I tried Rimmel’s ‘The only 1’ lipstick in shade 300 (Listen up). I liked the shape and found it easy to apply. The coverage was good although I did reapply to keep it consistent throughout the evening. The texture was nice, although I do prefer more of a gloss finish personally. I thought it may have been a bit ‘shinier’ as the description refers to the moisture factor. Packaging is simple, classic and modern. It’s got a really pleasant smell – almost fruity – which was a nice touch! I’d buy this again, however would probably whack a sheer gloss over the top!

The colour density of this lipstick offers great coverage and intensity. It is a long-lasting lipstick which means that it can be a little drying on the lips. I would suggest that a regular lip balm application before applying this lipstick to prevent it from looking cakey. I tried Shade 710 “Easy Does It” and it had great depth. The lipstick is a little perfumed but isn’t noticed when worn. There is quite a broad variety of colours to suit every skin-tone and look. It will need to be reapplied after eating and has staying power of a few hours.

I loved the colour of 710 – Easy Does It. It had a nice fragrance and I found it to be the perfect work colour – not to pale, not too dark. It applied well – nice and creamy and felt nice on my lips – no colour bleed. It did need to be reapplied after a few hours and after eating or drinking.
